The Pottery Workshop began in 1985, where ceramics serves as a way to give back to the city of Jingdezhen, support local makers, and build cultural exchange that reaches far beyond clay.

International Residency Studio

Our International Residency Studio has welcomed artists for over 20 years. Residents get a semi-private 13㎡ studio with 24-hour access, on-campus accommodation, freshly prepared meals, and bilingual coordinators who help you navigate the city, connect with local craftspeople, and get the most out of your time here.

Work independently, or join one of our group residency programs designed for universities and creative collectives. Up to 12 residents work side by side at any one time, a small, focused community in a city shaped entirely by ceramic heritage.
