Spend four immersive weeks in Jingdezhen discovering Chinese culture and pottery. Designed for international ceramics students on summer or winter break, the program blends studio practice with cultural exploration to deepen skills and understanding.
WEEK 1
Studio days include model and mould making, a blue-and-white workshop, custom stamp making, and the first round of glazing and firing, plus visits to Linglong porcelain factory, Sanbao, museums, and local studios.
WEEK 2
Explore Jingdezhen’s antique market, learn slip-casting and porcelain-tile making, and experiment with overglaze decoration. A one-day trip to Yaoli deepens insight into traditional clay sources and firing culture.
WEEK 3
Continue studio work, refine and decorate pieces, and prepare for the final glaze and firing. Group sharing and optional excursions round out the creative exchange.
WEEK 4
Complete the second round of glazing and firing, pack and ship finished works. Conclude the residency with smooth transfers to airport or train station.
